Welcome to 2010 - 2011 School Year

Well hello everyone!

Just an update that I will not have a classroom this year. Instead, I will be teaching Special Education and I am looking forward to the change of pace. It is always healthy to make changes in life and I am hoping that this will allow me to become a better teacher as I continue in my career.

I am looking forward to working with many different students that I have had in the classroom as well as meeting new ones that I have not yet worked with!!! :)

I will try to update to keep everyone informed of how the year is going and what we are working on here at Bartlett! Keep in touch!

Updates

Sorry I have not posted in a while! I can't believe it is already nearing the end of March!!! Things in class have been rather hectic lately. We are still working hard and moving along in all areas! In Math, we are on Unit 9 which is Multiplication and Division. We are going to be getting into some more advanced multiplication beyond the basic facts soon so I hope we are practicing those basic facts! In reading groups, we had stopped to focus on Social Studies and government. We read some nonfiction dealing with these areas and have shared what we learned nicely. I am now moving back to reading groups for a while. We will be focusing on Science and Oceans shortly. Hopefully, this will include a field trip or two! In writing, we will be learning about different types of poetry and focusing at least one poem on our Science unit! I will work harder at posting the correct homework each week! Sorry about that!
